Subject: Liberal pamphlet incident in St Marys
Importance: High
To whom this may concern
I am writing as the Director of the Glenmore Park Action Group (GPAG) regarding references made to this organisations involvement in the Liberal pamphlet incident in St Marys. Firstly, Mr Troy Craig is not and never has been president of GPAG as the position does not exist. Mr Craig was, along with many other residents, a member of GPAG and did act for a time as Secretary a position he resigned from in January this year (2007). Further, Mr Craig has tendered his resignation from GPAG today which I have accepted.
GPAG finds the offences alleged to have been committed under the guise of Liberal party politics offensive and deliberately divisive and justifiably condemned by the wider community. In fact it is exactly this sort of boorish political carry on that strengthens GPAG’s resolve to remain independent of any political party.
GPAG is first and foremost apolitical and exists purely to improve the general area of Glenmore Park. To that end we have negotiated with Penrith Councillors and State Politicians regardless of their political allegiances. We have and will continue to be forthright in our criticism when promised services and improvements are not delivered but we'll also be first in line to acknowledge the good work that is also carried out by our elected representatives.
Yours Sincerely
Mary Cook
