The GPAG meeting on Oct 16th went really well and Penrith Council and GPAG will be working together for Clean up Australia day to clean up the Loch... They were thinking along the lines of a family type fun day with possible a community group sausage sizzle, i.e. rotary or a local sports club, activities for the children with adults/old teenagers wading into the water’s edge to fish out the rubbish. I was also thinking that the older kids and adults could stencil the drains around the loch with “Nepean River Starts here” as a part of our stormwater education and possible, I have to double check, if there are drains in the Floribunda community centre car park, then the younger children would be able to spray these as well. We may be also able to include “sustainability street” in the day this will hopefully boost our numbers.
