Regrettably we had only a couple of big and little helpers today, I have attached some photos, FYI and the dates we are scheduled to meet again....

Today I would like to thank Volker for assisting Darren and myself in the Wetlands. Darren is a Council worker being paid for assisting our group, so therefore Volker and I were the only two volunteers.

Meeting dates for 2007

We next meet on the 14th APRIL 2007 from 8.00 am to 11.00 am.

9th June 2007 8.00 am – 11.00 am

11th August 2007 8.00 am – 11.00 am

13th October 2007 8.00 am – 11.00 am

8th December 2007 8.00 am – 11.00 am

Today was a success we trimmed a lot of nasty weeds and picked up all the garbage in the Blue Hills Wetlands. We all had that nasty prickly black jack all over us, was fun removing it from our clothing. NOT!

Thank you to our 7 helpers today, Volker, Theo & Margeretha, Karen & Tamara, Jude & Bob including myself and Darren from PCC we had 9 of us that worked very hard. We had 2 new faces today which was a pleasant surprise and great to see, thanks again.

Apologies, the scheduled landcare group meet has been cancelled for Saturday the 9th June, due to excessive rain.

no complaints there.

If you are interested, we can arrange to re-schedule our group time, in a couple of weeks, however I will need definite numbers and not just 3 people!

Council have said that they will deliver some Mulch for the wetlands, so there will be plenty to do...
